Moving Parts Press has published handsome and innovative books, broadsides and prints under the direction of Felicia Rice since 1977. These editions of new literature, works in translation, and contemporary art explore the relationship of word and image, typography and the visual arts, the fine arts and popular culture.

COSMOGONIE INTIME An Intimate Cosmogony |
| The Literatura Chicana/Latina Series and Livres d'Artiste Series are two areas of inquiry that have challenged and fed the editorial and artistic direction of the press since 1991. The two books pictured here are prime examples from each series. Focus and consistent effort over time characterize the press. The work evolves and revolves with the passing of the years. |

Felicia Rice collaborates with visual artists, performing artists and writers to create book structures in which word and image meet and merge. She employs traditional typography and bookmaking methods in conjunction with digital technology, bringing the flexibility of screen-based design to the texture and history of the letterpress-printed page.
Work from the Press has been included in exhibitions and collections both nationally and internationally, from AIGA Annual Book Shows in New York and Frankfurt to the Victoria & Albert Museum. Moving Parts Press has been the recipient of numerous awards and grants including an Elliston Book Award, a Stiftung Buchkunst Schönste Bücher aus aller Welt Ehrendiplom, and grants from the NEA, CAC and the French Ministry of Culture.
